Sales Letter TemplateIngredients of a Successful Sales Letter Template Writing a sales letter that ‘sells’ may seem a bit over-whelming. But if you break it down into smaller steps, you can easily do it. All successful sales letter templates contain some common elements. Here they are: Key Parts of a Sales Letter Template
The headline has one role: It must persuade the reader to read the rest of the letter. How? By answering very briefly, "what‘s in it for me?" Now, put some bait on the hook. What problem does your product or service solve for the customer? How will buying from you make their life easier, or better? The sales letter template must answer this question. What sets you apart from the competitors? What makes your product or service the best in the field? Are you quicker, cheaper, faster, larger- what is it that you are offering that is different from everybody else? People trust those who are trusted by others. You need to establish that you are a serious player. How can you do that? Put quotes from people who have used your product and services, and are happy customers. To make this work, give addresses of the people, and insert their photographs. This establishes them as real people, instead of just made up names. Finally, what do you want the reader to do? What action do you want them to take? Should they give you a call, fill in the form and mail it to you, or should they visit your website? Do not assume that the readers will know what to do. A good sales letter template will always have the call to action in very clear, bold words. You need to give an incentive for readers to do what you want. Your sales letter template should clearly state what they will lose if they do not act on this sales letter. People might be interested in what you are offering, but could be too busy or too lazy to act now. You need to make them act now by creating urgency. It could be anything– perhaps the sale is ending soon, or the discount is for a limited period, or they get additional products. But you need to give them a reason to act now, not postpone it for later. Short for post-script, a PS is a very important part of a sales letter template. Why? Because it is always read. You will notice that many successful sales letter templates use a PS once, and then follow it up with PPS. So what does that tell you? Always use a P.S.
